plz advice me what to do next

i m bad grades hons. in geology with good grades M.Sc in peroleum geology frm karachi university.

by next week my final sem. exams will be over and i’ll be thrown out for job hunt.

in pakistan there r no jobs recently for fresh grads of geology becuz of geo-political situation.

what i m thinking is to go to UK n get ad in MS reservoir engineering n then search for job

any better idea. remember i love what i have studied n want to stay in it.

will i get ad. for sep 2004?

good suggestions welcome.

there r jobs in this field in pak for sure, but u'll have to relocate to those areas and life is harsh there, my cousin was in this field

hmm...have u thought abt working in the gulf?

and u could apply to the USA too for further studies

aray baba tough n harsh life means nothing to me. i m well prepared for it, rather almost every one in my family have such time either in military or aviation or other.

as far as US is concerned i m not sure if ill get ad. in MS. do they recognized Pakistani universities?

yes ofcourse they do

u hafta score well in GRE tho and write a good personal statement etc, all that helps the application

i can help u out if u apply to the US, im somewhat familiar with the process

hmm...do this

surf into the websites of some american unis and look at the procedure there and come back and ask if u have questions...

onething u can surely tell me now is when do their session start?

:nono1:

yes i can surely look into it, but HOW:confused:

will appriciate if u elaborate some details.

the reason being i m like this is that i m suffering from exams these days

open up damn google… Type “Graduate programs in Geological engineering”…

The following link summarizes some good schools in your major outside USA:

here is a link for some USA universities for your major:

I hope it helps… you are finishing your master degree and at this level you are expected to be more proactive and well informed when it comes to higher studies. Indian students start planning for higher studies as soon as they get into their bachelor degree program. They work really hard for GRE exam to grab the financial aid ( in form of graduate research assistant or graduate teaching assistant) available for international students at graduate level…just an advice…good luck with every thing…

so nice of you
