n 2008 Pluto was stripped of its status as a planet and will now be classified as a “plutoid” – a new category of celestial body. One reason why Pluto is declassified as a planet is because asteroids has been detected in our solar system that are as large or larger than Pluto. Stricter rules are now in place as to what can be called a planet. Pluto did not meet all the new requirements to be labeled as one. Technically, Pluto’s name is now 134340 after being declassified as a planet.
It is very much sad that Pluto is excluded from the solar system as Scientist think that Pluto is much bigger planet but they have an idea that life is not possible on this planet and it is very much far from the earth.
