So just wondering if it is true that plucking and waxing eyebrows is haram? Every search I did on the net brings up evidence saying it IS haram.
I don’t think I know a single muslim female who doesn’t do her eyebrows. Even the most practicing ones I know still do their eyebrows.
I know it says that it is haram because it is wrong to alter Allah’s creation, but then how is it different from waxing other parts of the face or body? Some women are just hairy and why wouldn’t they be allowed to beautify themselves for their husband? Most men like clean well groomed eyebrows on women don’t they?
I posted here because more women frequent this section then the religion forum but mods feel free to put this where you see fit. Thanks.

“There can be no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator.” (Ahmad- saheeh)**

“Allaah has CURSED the woman who does tattoos and the one who has them done, the woman who plucks eyebrows and the one who has it done, and the one who files her teeth for the purpose of beauty, altering the creation of Allaah.” (Bukhaari, Muslim)
It's just been normalised in our society just like men wearing unislamic garb.
It's also very telling about the state of a society where a girl with a unibrow is less likely to get married then one without one. Beauty triumphs everything else.
There are some rulings which say it's ok if you have a unibrow or "unnatural" growth.. that doesn't refer to normal shaping of them to look nice obviously..
(I don't wax or pluck mine, just thought I'd add as there's some difference of opinion and not judging as I'm not exactly that practising myself)

I don't touch my brows either but I think the current trend of super thick brows is more appropriate because there's no mega arched shapes that look so vampy.
1- Tahurra already answered to this and you also got the answers by searching online, that it is not permissible.
2- There are many Muslims who are Muslim but don’t offer Salath or do not fast etc. ← This doesn’t allow others to refrain from Salath or fasting etc., because he/she don’t do this or that.
3- When Shariah talks about “something” of its permissibly or impermissible, we must follow it as prescribed. However when Shariah doesn’t says nothing about it then it is to some extent allowed (according to some scholars). Here we’ll find different opinions from different scholars about its validity. For example: plucking and waxing eyebrows not allowed specifically mentioned in various hadiths, however, waxing other parts of the body wasn’t mentioned in hadith, so by some scholars it is allowed and by some other scholars says it is not allowed. One may do so or do not do depending of her needs.
4- for posting here and we hope you got the answer for what you are looking for
