The temperatures are soaring in Pakistan these days with some places having as high as 50 degree Celsius and Karachi at 45c. It is so sad that in just 2 days over 150 people have died in Karachi alone due to heat strokes. its too humid and fasting is really tough in this weather.
to make situation worse there is lack of electricity and people are made to sit in their scorching homes without any electricity for longer hours. People are unable to function their daily activities properly and the fasts are giving a real challenge.
I request all of you on this forum to please pray for a nice weather change in Pakistan and for rainfall that would bring ease to the people.

Re: Pls pray for a nice weather in Pakistan
How did people survive pre-industrial age? Were these type of casualties considered norm or is the housing and pollution to blame?
I only ask because the other scenario i.e. constant electricity isn't going to happen at least in this govt's tenure.

Re: Pls pray for a nice weather in Pakistan
this current heat wave is the extreme one and in Karachi it has broken the record of last 10 years. Also, with people fasting and with the crippled system of water supply and electricity things have gotten worse. the affluent ones can stay in ACs, (provided there is electricity), otherwise the situation is too bad for the ones who don't have the luxury of ACs, or are suffering from load shedding and water shortage.
around 500 people have passed away in just 4 days. Its getting scary.
