We write urdu in Roman English. We are proud to be pakistani. Though we have enough of the local languages, but we all Pakistanis are always proud to mention and are proud to speak our national language, urdu. Then what it is, that though we have the word in national urdu language for FASTING month and we can also very clearly write it in Roman English; but still on many Pakistani chennels such as Geo tv, we are shy to write ramzan in urdu or roman english. Also on our this forum shall not we use urdu word for the month of fast; which is ramzan not ramadhan. I guess because many of us grew up in arabic country so we know arabic very well too, but would not this in long term be harmful for urdu language and for our future generation. We have many words which on geo tv or otherwise are being spoken as they are in hindi. or arabic. For example. INDEYA, KARAN, JANKARY, FAAL, HADAF and many more such words. We have vocabulary for these words in urdu. Kindly use urdu words and make happy to babai urdu (R). Thanks.
