Any SOFT contact lens wearers out there, please could you share with me how you manage to put your lenses in…
I have recently been given soft lenses to wear under my hard ones as the hard ones were scratching my eyes…the comfort is now great…but I have one problem…it can take me anything upto 45 minutes to put my soft lenses in!
I don’t know why this is, and it leads to a lot of frustration for me..I am in floods of tears most mornings:teary1:
My hubby is masa’allah great in helping me by giving directions etc…but he tolerates it..others DON’T…like SIL etc…
It is a disability to me, as I have to wear the lenses, I can’t function without, and no I can’t wear glasses due to the condition I suffer from…
So, please please can anyone give me some tips on how to get the soft lenses into my eyes??? Dil seh bohot dua niklegi…
I tend to ignore anything that's coming into my eye. Did the doc tell you how to put em in?
Like when i first got em, i was told to put the contact lens on my middle finger, so that the concave side is facing up, and then to pull apart my eye lid with my index and 3rd finger. It can be a bit tricky the first few times around. But you get used to it, so much so that i just use my index finger for everything.
also make sure that the lens is really moist. And moisten your finger as well, as it helps get the contact off your finger.
no i think make sure ur finger is dry because then it will easily fit in thats how i use my lenses and wash ur hands before putting them

The thing is, I have been shown how to do it by the optician...yeah I can eventually do it...but like every morning it's taking me AGES...
I'm just worried that already people have to put up with me not being able to do this, that and the other due to eye problems etc......
SIL and my in laws in general can be quite scathing....
I wear soft contacts and i find it easy to put in with a little moist finger. Just wash them well because even a small speck can irritate the eye and make it go all red. Do you long nails? If yes, they may cause some problem till the time you get used to putting the lens in. I started wearing contacts fourteen years ago and i couldnt with my long nails at that time but now i can.
Plus, Hold your eye lid upwards and look straight ahead, if you keep fluttering your eye (which does happen when it starts watering) it tends to become very difficult.

good luck i can imagine how frustrating it can be
just make sure tht when ur gettin ready to put them in..u have it in a 'U' or bowl shape..cuz if it doesnt sit like a bowl on ur finger it WILL NOT leave the finger..other thing..when u put them in..dont immediately blink..wait and try to move ur eyeball around..if u blink too quicky the lense will pop out..
and if u have problems keepin ur eye open...hold ur top lashes..tht make sures tht ur eyes will not close..i hope this helps..but if u tell me exactly what is it tht ur havin problem with..i'll try to give u more tips..
