:hinna: It sickens me when I hear abt things like this. A Pakistani family of 4 was killed yesterday morning. Apparantly the father first shot his 9-year-old son, then his 18-year-old son, his wife, and then himself. The 18-year-old was days away from attending Ohio State Uni. This boy’s name was Salim and many of my friends knew him since he lives not too far away. Many of my mom’s friends live in that neighborhood and saw the police investigating, etc. It is truly so sad and horrible, I wish things like this wudn’t happen. Breaks my heart. Even though I didn’t know this guy very well, my heart aches so much for him and his family. There r sum sick people out there, I cannot fathom how a father can kill his own family and then himself. What did he acheive? I don’t understand it at all. They had such a beautiful home and everything. Everyone that knew them said they were wonderful people, one of my friends was lab partners with him last year and she’s been crying all day becoz he was such a funny, optomistic person. PLEASE take 2 mins. out of ur busy schedule to pray for them all :flower1:
Basically another classic example of how the materialistic stress from this society drives you to insanity...
and also a lesson to make our connection with Allah SWT as strong as possible..I being a father of 3 girls myself cannot imagine something like this...but then only turn to Allah SWT to protect my soul and mind from committing such a horific act..
most of the time the suicidal person dies a non-believer as well, so it is a sad sad lesson..

Very tragic. May Allah rest their souls in peace and give their immediate family courage to bear this loss. Such people usu. have some kind of mental illness like schizophrenia.
yes, probably so. everyone is wondering y this happened. there were in no kind of financial trouble, had a Mashallah very big home and the boy even had a nice car, they owned multiple businesses. according to family friends they had no family feuds but u really never know. some ppl act happy but can be really depressed. it’s just so alarming and scary, u never kno wat’s gonna happen. and this may sound silly but these things really scare me when it comes to getting married to someone outside the family, becoz u never know what kind of ppl r out there, esp today’s day in age. i mean married almost 19-20 years and then u kill ur wife? how is some1 able to do that??
I've heard a rumour that the father had wanted to leave the Ismaili religion and kept pushing his wife and son but they wouldn't listen and he ended up killing them. The imam at the richardson mosque told a friend of mine...i hope all ismailis and aga khanis and whatever other newly made stuff there is come back to the simple Islam.
Ok ..thanks for the insight Rock...however if true ..the poor guy by killing them took away any chances of forgiveness from Allah for himself. They might be forgiven by Allah after all. I know even Ismailis believe in Allah... they are more like shias. However, we don't know whether he committed the act in state of dimentia or "schizophrenia" like GA and others suggested.
