it 40 hrs long operation on a 2 year old baby done by 30 doctors ..

well i read that Lakshmi was born on the day devoted to the celebration of the four-armed Hindu deity Vishnu. rite ?

just wondering when according to hindu Beliefs , she could be a born again yoke of one of their gods so why not treat her as one , offer her bounties and make her feel like a goddess !

If it is not normal to be with extra limbs , one has to get operated to be normal , what about most of the "Gods" that they worship today ?

ANyway my best wishes for the Lakshmi , may she lives long in peace!

Its a relief that operation went well... Everyone here was worried about her...
i hope she can walk on her feet one day too...
kudos to the doctors and the people who put together a huge amount of money for her operation..

Thats a superstition.. only uneducated people in villages believe in that.
I dont think gods can reincarnate anymore ...

kakay yaar, I am not being disrespectful here at all so I apologize if it comes off as that.

fact is that no one 'knows' what god, or gods exist, I mean we believe, we trust we have faith based on what we have been tauight, what we have read.

but strictly going from a logical view assuming that there are gods, and assuming that they did reincarnate, or even if they did not then there is no way for any of us knwoing whether they would reincarnate again. I mean I dont think they have term limitations like US presidency.

I mean basically what I am sayign is that anything is possible u know, or not possible..just depends on what people believe.

^ ^ I was talking about the superstition in reply to that question... its based on mythology.
god and religion are faith based things.... you believe in it or you dont... there is no need to look for 'existance' of god. In todays stressful world people put a lot of faith in god and in the back of their mind they always doubt whether god exists or not or if someone is listening to them or not. hence they always look for a devine 'sign' of existance of god... thats when u see all these kind of superstitions
