The aid given to Pakistan is chump change, its 1% of Pakistan's GDP. But of course these politicians will do hoola hoops to get a yankee dollar from the Americans. Politicians who can drown their own people and enjoy foreign tours during the floods will have no problems selling its own people for anything.
If this money goes away, this gov't will fall, the new gov't will have to rely on taxing the rich 1% who own 98% of Pakistan. But forget about this gov't doing anything good for Pakistan. Its not going to happen.

Zardari's visit to Russia - first ever full feldged presidential visit after 38(?) years by a Pakistani president is a step in the right direction.
