" problem occur when someone try to bundle up all the Islamic movement into one entity, in your example of" Pakistan and Iran" may have some weight but they have no standing in Muslim Ummah not even in their own country, mixing then with real Islamic movenents like, Islamic Revolution in Iran, Akhwaan-un- Muslameen, Tublighi Jamaat, Islamic Movement in Turky, Algeria, Malasiya, China, and different other parts of world and even in US, the role of ICNA and ISNA and others, is a grave mistake,"
I read this paragraph many times but stii I am unable to understand, what really you want to say. All these movements are alike or not alike. If you mean that all these movements are Islamic movments and for the Islam then you are absolutley wrong. All these movements which you mentioned are not,the same and nither thier aims and objectives are same. You need to read more history before you write some thing like this.

We care about the West because we care about you and we care about our next generation. This is our concern that most of our Muslims are not concerned about the West. Living in a western society and observing them day and night, me and people like aadmi do have some concern about the West and its objectives. May be people who do not live here do not perceive the threat we facing from the West. We have to create Muslim consciousness and awareness about this issue. We need to tell people like you "whats the heck going on here."
PG
pleased to read your posting and an informative article from Dawn.
Aadmi
I appreciate your two powerful and meaningful writings. You wrote well.
But I think we are discussing this issue on a wrong site. If you read the beginning of this thread, I started this thread for a different reason. I am glad that people responded to my thread so actively. Now I think that my objectives of this have been fulfilled so we should close this thread and I will urge the moderator this page to do so .
However the topic of Muslims and the West is so important that we should continue to talk about this.We need more open discussion on this topic. I am going to write on this issue separately, Insha Allah soon.
I will request people like aadmi, PG, Achtung, haqqani, Fatah, Zaman and all of my colleagues who realize and acknowledege the importance of this issue, to share their ideas in this site.

Can anyone really understand what's really happening in the middle east?
If we look at the situations in the past which have made the Middle East look unstable, is there one in which the west may not have been in some way involved.
The Middle East was made to look unstable and the conflicts were funded by the west so that they could get their hands on the oil.
The Middle east is a marketplace for arms merchants. Weapons, ammunition etc are very expensive. People will definitely buy during war situations and in return it means cheap oil to the suppliers. Capitalists only look for profit.
The Iraq issue is a very complex one. It is in American interests that Iraq be split up into three, a northern Kurdish state, a southern Shia state and a central sunni state- the classic divide and conquer routine. Iraq's main oil reserves are situated in northern and southern Iraq. The central state which will probably be pro Saddam will be left very weak. The pro US northern and southern Iraq will supply oil at very low prices to the US.
With Saddam gone Middle East will look stabilised and the western forces may have to leave the region unless they start another conflict to extend their stay. Interesting how US and UK can attack Iraq and for Iraq, US and UK are too far and it can only attack its arab neighbours.
If Iraq was stable it would be the dominant force in the Middle East i.e. it would be harder for the west to get their hands on the oil.
What happens when the oil runs out?
Uranium is the next oil and a huge deposit of Uranium has been found in Somalia. Again a conflict has started in Somalia.
If Iraq is split up then Middle East looks stable, but again problem will start again when Palestine will announce its independence.
These oil wars are killing millions of innocent Muslims. Why shouldn't young Muslims turn to 'extremism' 'fundamentalism' etc when we see our leaders behaving like puppets on the hands of their western masters.
