please hurl...

“Please oh please hurl
Bricks at institutions,
Else children will grow up
Thinking bricks only make walls.”

Another nightmare?

rebel.

:konfused:

Hey Gamma,
Not bad !! The whole world is in a ying/yang situation anyways, nice way of pointing out the bad in the good. Keep doing it cause we need to open up our eyes and see it!

Wannabe Haikus

Harish Nambiar

A streaking black bat
In a forest
Of bright butterflies
And life is wallpaper no more.

*Please oh please hurl
Bricks at institutions,
Else children will grow up
Thinking bricks only make walls. *

My shoots shoot into oblivion
My roots grope into oblivion
I am contented
Staring at the trunk.

Art is a distraction,
Isn’t addition and subtraction
Merely
Accepted abstraction.

Lecherous palms crane
Their reptile necks
Over the clouds
To catch the moon
A-changing?

Footnote: These are not haikus as in the 17-syllable gems they should be. However, it is a 17-year-old’s approximation of the essence of the integral Haiku.

Saw the full poem posted on another forum. Have no idea what it's about but well written. The author is apparently a 17 yr old called Harish Nambiar.

xtreme jee, the haiku is nolonger confined to 17 syllables, it is much more open to personal interpretaion and i say more power to the 17 yr old.

Haikus are nowwa days more powerful forms of expression now that their barriers have been expanded, imo there shouldbe no rigid law of artistry.
