There are differing opinions on whether or not there is finality in this situation.
Please seek the guidance of an alim/imaam rather than asking for an “opinion” here.
While we have several learned members in this community that will offer you some decent advice and be able to back it up, the specifics, including the sect to which your friend belongs, will play a major role in how things pan out.

As for whether or not she is in Pakistan, it really isn’t important at this stage. If the marriage was a turbulent one that involved any kind of abuse then for all we know God has already had mercy on her and given her an opportunity to escape.

I agree. I just hope that the woman is safe and will be safe with the child.
