Re: please help me understand wat comes first and later!!!!
Bayview Academy is good and they have pre-nursery too. CAS , Froebel , Indus , FPS , CJM & Headstart are also good schools in the area of clifton & defence.
In my opinion one should look for a school that is good through out till O Levels and not just the ones that are good till Junior/Primary .

^ I dont think she is sending her baby to school or a daycare, she is just thinking if she needs to do anything right now.
I suppose KGS means Karachi Grammar school ... I have a friend in Karachi who told me that she was too late when she tried for her daughter's admission at age 3 I think. The school already had a waiting list and she could not get her daughter admitted in that school.
yes KGS is karachi grammar school
they give out dates for the addmission according to yr and month baby is born so have to chek on thr website

Carry the right amount of money with you. and you can get your kid admitted the same day, whether in KGS, Mama parsi, or anywhere else. These schools are all about commerce, and the race for admission is not always because the waiting list is long. Its more because they want to entice parents into making donations in return for an instant admission. Its unfortunate, but most parents who can afford it, succumb to this phenomenon, because of lack of quality schools in Pakistan.

Hmmm Silaaj I have just been through this procedure , money matters but they also asses the child , family background and other factors and after analysis of everything they give admission . Probably they ask for donation in KGS , Mama Parsi & other missionary schools I don't know I have never even visited them but in rest of the privately owned schools I know that they don't ask for donations.

^ i used to go to st. joseph's for a few years while we were in pakistan and i remember back then it was strictly test-based admission. my mom, khala, mumani all went there and my nani was a teacher there but i still had to take the test and wait for the results to see if i was admitted or not. i still remember how nervous i was taking the test!
