Hello everyone! I’m new here. Since I was a kid I have been a huge fan of Pakistani Comedy Stage shows of comedic legends like Umer Sharif and Moin Akhtar. I have seen many of them and enjoyed them very much, especially “Bakra Kiston Pay”.
Now I remember watching the trailer for two other such stage plays but I don’t remember their names. I’m pretty sure that they are both from late 80s or early 90s. I would very much like to watch them again. So please help me to identify the names of these two shows. I will be very grateful. Thank you.
First Show:
- Stars Umer Sharif
- There is a scene in which he calls a housemaid called “Gulabo” again and again. (Gulabo idhar aa. Gulabo wapas jaa)
- There was also a scene in which another character asks Umar Sharif why he is the way he is and he says “Maa ki badduaon se aur Jeetendra ke saaye se”.
Second Show:
- I don’t know the name of any of the stars of this show.
- There is a scene in which a fat lady tells a skinny guy “You fool”, to which he responds, “You April Fool”. She then says, “You damn fool” and he replies “You houseful!”.
- There’s also a scene in which the fat lady sings the song “Jaanoo, mere jaanoo”, from the Bollywood movie “Satyamev Jayate”.
