Robert - your answer implies that religious views/teachings are not consistant with scientific research...
Most religious people have trouble accepting this - and will deny any scientific theory, even if there is overwelming evidence, because if they accept **one **discrepency in religion then they cannot deny other discrepencies.
And soon their religious beliefs are shaken to the core - since they have been brainwahed since birth that these are the words of God, and not even a comma can be changed!!.
