President’s fund for flood relief set up
President General Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday announced establishment of “President’s Relief Fund for Flood Victims.” The fund has been established to alleviate the sufferings of the flood affected people. President Musharraf has appealed to Pakistanis living in the country and abroad to generously donate to the fund, to alleviate the sufferings of flood affected people.
** Donations to the fund can be deposited at all the branches of State Bank of Pakistan, all treasuries and branches of National Bank of Pakistan and all other scheduled banks, including Habib Bank Limited, United Bank Limited, Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Allied Bank Limited and their branches abroad, in Pak rupee as well as in foreign currency.
In countries, where the branches of aforementioned banks do not exist, contributions can be made at respective Pakistani missions. **
President Musharraf has expressed the hope that by the grace of Allah Almighty, the challenging situation would be transformed into an opportunity to provide better quality of life to the flood affected people.
