i think it's fair to remove the edit button.. think of it in this way.. when u debate in public (vocally i.e.) can u take back what u said or can u "edit" it?? so it's only fair that they disallowed edit here too.. come on irem, ppl need to think before keying in a few words.. u gotta stand up for what u say.. instead of resorting to editing when u see that u are wrong.. hope u got my point and took it in the rite persp.

desibanda i did not mean to say that i would edit when i'm "wrong" or if i edit something then that means i don't stand by what i said....

insaan insaan hota hay koi robot ya farishta naheen hota jo har waqt PERFECT PERFORMANCE karay....har waqt wohi baat karay jo us ko karni chahiye...har waqt jo bolay woh soch samaj ke aqal ke daire mein reh ke bole...kabhee kabhaar insaan kuch aisi baatein keh jata hae jin ko jab woh baad mein sochta hae toh us ko khayaal ata hae ke shayad mujhay ye naheen kehni chahiyen theen...

DOOSRI BAAT: jab aap real life mein baat kar rhay hotay haen toh aap ne chalein ji jo kaha woh keh dya...doosray ne aap ki baat ya toh dil pe le li, ya aik kaan se suni doosri kaan se ura dee, jo bhee, lekin kamazkam woh hamesha ke lyay kaheen naQsh ho keh toh naheen reh jaati...lekin yahaan aap jo likhtay haen woh is website ka hissa ban ke sada ke lyay is website ka hissa ban jata hae...ye farq socha jayay aur samjha jaye toh boht bara farq hay aur agar na samjha jaye toh kuch bhee naheen :)

khair coming to the topic, i will respond in ur way hoping that u will get my point more easily:
doosri baat (ghaur se dekhiye, pehli baat ho chuki hai :D): jaise kissi aur ne kaha ke allowing editing indefinitely would alter contexts of posts because if someone makes dramatic changes to his/her post, then the following posts have no meaning. khair example mein, if suppose ek post mein appne mujhe bahut ghandi ghali di, aur jawab mein maine bhi kuch likha.. ab app "kahin-maine-ghalat-to-nahin-kaha" (kmgtnk) mood mein agar apne post ko delete ya clean up kar deti hain to mere post ka kya matlab hoga?? future mein jab koi us topic ko padhega woh yeh to nahin sochega ke maine ek masoom si ladki se badtameezi ki hai??

chauthi baat (i am two up on the "baatein" count :D): real life mein kya app kabhi kmgtnk sochke apne alfaaz ko wapas le sakti hain kya? ya usko mita sakti hain?? uska ek hi sujhav hai ke appko ya maafi mangna hai (ager appne kmgtnk mahsoos kiya to) ya aur kuchh add kijiye apne post ko.. u cud do the same here too.. either apologize in a later post or correct it.. most ppl wudnt mind if u did that.. rather than sneak in and change ur post altogethr after a 1987987.666 people have posted in reply to it.
akhir mein, bura mat maniyega main to app ko samjhane ke liye aise elaborately yeh sab bata raha hoon.

AS mods and admins are saying over and over and over and over again: PM the moderator if you need to take down the pictures or make any changes to your post. What is so hard to understand?

I don’t quite understand the whole concept of putting up a picture only to remove it later… if you’re insecure about it, than you shouldn’t be posting pictures in the first place.
The whole concept of a discussion forum is that of an archived information source… if you constantly keep changing your threads and in the case of images remove them… that leaves the information archive totally useless, and its a waste of time of members as well as moderators.

mods/admins are free to defend/justify/explain their decision, like they did.
