PlayStation

if i take a playstation from usa to pakistan, would it work there?
i mean the electricity is different and stuff.

electricity is different????

I think most electronic gadgets come with universal adapters which adjust automatically between 110V to 240V. And even if you have a 110V adapter, u can easily get a step-down from Pakistan for a couple of hundred rupees.

The real issue is DVD's and I think in Pakistan u can easily get console games which run on US version PlayStation 2 and X-Box.

just take an adaptor with u. i cant remeber the paki voltage. just ask someone there and use the adaptor settings

Voltage in USA: 110
Voltage in Europe: 230 (used to be 220)

Voltage in Pakistan: 220, ie European devices work there without adapter and vice versa. For American devices a voltage adapter is necessary to avoid damage.

only if you were to buy original games in pakistan, yes it will work .. but let me warn you that you can only find copies of games in pakistan and they wont work on the regular play station .. unless ofcourse you get a mod chip and have it put or do it yourself in your playstation and that will make your playstation run copied games.. besides what everybody else said that the you will need a 220volts adapter to use it in pakistan .. hope that helps.. :)

hehe think again buddy... Every shop selling these pirated DVDs has something called a mod chip, which they would be happy to install for less than a thousand rupees ;)
