playing with penny stocks

OK. I bought more of and will continue to buy another 20000 shares of ACTC and only because its dirt cheap and stem cell research will get better and more wide spread. I plan on purchasing up to 100,000 shares over the next few months. And the other stock of which I bought 20K shares is SIRI because I believe it will start to climb as there is still hope after all, if only a morsel bit, for the car manufacturers.

Anyone out there also buy up these or similar stocks??

I like the idea of ACTC but i dont know too much about SIRI ....as auto sector is doomed for some time.

Here are some of my picks that i am playing with.... AGT, POT ASH
I bought citi when it was at 1.04 and now i am up at 2.85....... should i sell or stay? Predictions are for it to reach $16 by end of summer.

Predictions are CITI will be broke into pieces and sold to other companies, or divided into two banks, one will be known as Bad bank. The problem is toxic assets are still on the books !

might just go short sell with the C. I am leaning towards GGP and RHIE.

Also the solar sector had a huge gain last week, some as far as 300%

Whats your take on GGP?

Re: playing with penny stocks

GGP is a penny stock too, real estate prices are still dropping like an autumn leaf, if you can hold your investment for quite a good time, then why not. But the risk is overwhelming.. company can file for bankruptcy tomorrow !

Stay away from Financial & Real estate companies for few months, until the crises bottom out. Clean Energy & IT companies are good investment including giants like Dupont are historically low. Look at the GE, Dupont, Berkshire Hathaway Class B shares, Ford .. etc..

Don't be evil, you already have more then 100% profit, sell them and diverse your portfolio !

GGP owns the best malls in USA. I hope they dont file for bankruptcy. Lets see how they start off today.

Make sure you add SNBP to your watch list, because based on it's history it could be a very fast mover!! The charts speak for themselves.

Re: playing with penny stocks

This is a classic case of people taking advantage of high prices for a quick profit causing stock to tumble down. Remember AIG? Its share price went up to as high as $2 before coming down to $.92. I would wait before buying GGP

yes..i agree with u all the way.

You shouldve went in for the SNBP.BO went up .18 cents!!!
watch this ticker really close.

Another ticker that i am watching is the RHIE..they controll the tv programming and tv...their ticker has been on the ladder since last thursday. I dont know why.

Re: playing with penny stocks

I bought some penny stocks of nano tech companies, after tech bubble burst and made money on them , I still have some left which were climbing constantly before this recession. I did not check them after the recession started. I bought them for long haul anyways.

I just made 140% profit !! on Mtiz

MTIZ - METISCAN INC (DE) - Google Finance

Mtiz is an interesting company. I will post a company to watch for on sunday night…watch this thread.

Re: playing with penny stocks

Furqan, Firenze, check out GGP. You guys took a huge loss if there was any investment in this stock. Yesterday it was over a dollar but now look at it.

Did I mention that GGP declared bankruptcy. Is it worth investing, lets say $1000, in this stock? $1K is not much if you lose it.

Re: playing with penny stocks

yes last Thursday it file for Chapter 11, now the share is at: 1.05, i have more then 1000$ already in GGP, and yes its fine to loose 2-3k.

Re: playing with penny stocks

Actually the stock was trading at 1.05 yesterday and today the BID price is $0.01. Stock volume has not changed since the market opened.

Re: playing with penny stocks

^^ Until any verdict from the court, it won't change. You can put your stock for sale.. but.. anyway.. its junk now !

Re: playing with penny stocks

A verdict from the court is irrelevant since it was a voluntary filing for bankruptcy. But the courts would still not be involved in something like this unless there was a dispute over sale of assets and subsequent collection of revenue from those sales.
