Plastic Surgery...

WHYYYY???

If you thought that was bad, here’s a woman named CINDY JACKSON who has appeard in the Guinness book of world records for having had the most plastic surgeries, the record remains unbroken!!

As of 2003, she has undergone three full face-lifts, three “mini” face-lifts (one lower, two upper), three eyelid surgeries (one upper, two lower), one upper lip lift, liposuction on her knees, thighs, abdomen, waist, and jaw-line; two nose operations, breast augmentation, breast implant removal, cheek implants, bottom lip implant, chin reduction, hair transplantation to cover face-lift scars, two partial dermabrasions, two chemical peels (first one TCA, second one glycolic), two laser resurfacings (one partial, one full), facial thread vein removal, mole removal, scar revision, semi-permanent and permanent make-up (eyeliner, eyebrows, lip liner, lips), numerous temporary filler injections (collagen, fat transfer, Hylaform, Restylane, Perlane), cosmetic dentistry, and laser tooth whitening.

I was gonna name this thread… girls gone MAAADDDD!!!

Re: Plastic Surgery...

Heidi looks plastic now, but I think upto 3 surgeries is okay

Re: Plastic Surgery...

Ridiculous. All insecurity. Embrace your womanhood and stop listening to play-boy focused men who think every girl should look like a playboy bunny.

And at the end you will be looking like MJ. :chai:

Re: Plastic Surgery...

She looks a little plastic, but i'm sure in a couple of months, her face will "deflate a little" and look a little more natural. That's if she doesn't go in and get more in that period of time. If she steps it up a notch too far, Heidi will end up going down the Koena Mitra/Bride of Wildenstein route.

I'm all for cosmetic surgery.......so long as it's done in a subtle way.

Ech. Each to their own.

I don't know what u mean by subtle cosmetic surgery..?

Also, does anyone know (please answer only if ur sure), if cosmetic surgery is haram? I've heard that plastic surgery done for life-saving/medical purposes is ok but cosmetic surgery done solely for beautifying purposes is not allowed? That makes sense. As far as I know, any permanent change to ur body is haram and that includes tattoos.

I know a muslim lady who wanted to get highlights in her hair and she heard from someone that its haram... so i said no it can't be haram coz hair dyes are not permanent... so its not a permanent change... just like mehendi... mehendi colours your hands but then it wears off..

Agree with Maroush, live and let live imo

old nick removed, a lot of cosmetic surgeries such as boob jobs are reversible and regarding its permissibility there are different opinions, I did post some fatwas on this before in the 'Fashion and Beauty' section.. It's interesting that a Muslim country, Iran, is considered the nosejob capital of the world.. There are some scholars who say it's only allowed for reconstructive purposes following an accident or in a case of deformity (note 'deformity' can also be a subjective thing, it is not always clear-cut, what is considered 'abnormal' to some might be perfectly acceptable to others), others who say only allowed if it's not permanent and others who say it's ok if the problem affects the person psychologically/mentally (which I guess would be the case in the majority of procedures).

Also, there are plenty of 'subtle' surgeries ppl can have where even family wouldn't notice anything has been done unless it's pointed out to them. After my first boob job no-one in my family even noticed I'd had it done, likewise there are celebs like Megan Fox, Angelina or even Blake Lively from Gossip Girl who've had nose jobs and no-one would guess unless they'd seen a picture of the 'old' version. I've met Cindy Jackson a few times and she looks great, she's lovely to talk to and looking at her u would never guess she has had so much work done, likewise I don't think Heidi looks too bad but she should lay off her face and body now before she starts morphing into some hideous caricature.

I tend to think some ppl can be quite hypocritical about this issue, they might say they are totally anti-surgery for cosmetic procedures such as rhinoplasty but then they themselves would rush out and get some permanent procedure done to lighten their skin lol or pluck their eyebrows (which has been universally declared as haram with no difference of opinion between scholars unless u have a monobrow), have to love the double standards..
