i have a plant which is growing so much so i wanted to cut it & replant it but i dont know where to cut it. can someone tell me where to cut it .

well if you know what plant it is, google it and you should be able to find how to take a cutting.

it largely depends on the plant itself .. but for most plants i think its the stem bit … the area thats not to soft and not too woody

It depends on which plant it is , you can transplant it somewhere else at the start of the fall. You can propagate any plant by using its cuttings , that too is done when you hit colder temperatures , in most part of the world it is start of the fall season when you can take the clippings of a plant or tree and plant them for propagation purposes.
I live in a southern state of US so I do my propagation , moving and transplantation of trees and plants in September for better success rate.
