Very valid points Lusi , thanks so much for sharing .. you are right repetition is the key element .. I wanna ask one quick thing, when we play Qirat alot of it can be hard to separate the words. I know that sometimes if i am only listening to the Quran and not looking at the screen , I find it hard to realize the words being said … but when i am looking and hearing it at the same time, it leaves a very different impact.. how do we tackle this situation with infacts …

I am assuming that they learn the english rhymes faster because the words are easy to separate even when you are just listening to them … I wonder if i am making any sense?

children from ages birth to 4/5 have brains like sponges, they have the ability to learn many languages during this time period and retain that information. i would sugest play tilawat repeatedly along with teaching them the arabic language. just think of it this way…kids can sing twinkle twinkle little star before they even learn to read it. that only happens with repetition. i would say, set a time when the child will listen to the tilawat in sequence for example, every morning your child will listen to the tilawat for 15 minutes starting from the first parah, next day you you play from where you left the day before. you make this a morning routine. then for the afternoons and/or evenings, you select a certain number of small surats and play them everyday for few months, after few months, add one new surah by replacing one from the list, again play the new list everyday for few months. the surah the you have taken off the new list can be recited or played at any other time, maybe once during the week or month. i guess consistency and repetitin is the key. we use this kind of method when teaching children various songs, poems, etc.
