Hey anyone of you heard about Cooco's Den ??? Its some where near Baadshahi mosque and Lahore Fort. I have heard its a MUST go, MUST see place. It is a restaurant btw and what I have heard is that Cooco was a Twaaif of Heera Mandi and this restaurant is made by her son who was studying in US. Cooco has some very sad life story (zulam ki daastan) which I do know. Please share if anyone here knows.
i did. the food there is amazing! and the view is spectacular. it’s actually founded by the brother of one of the prostitutes or something, and he’s an artist. he draws the women as they are, and there isn’t any glamor associated to his paintings. he even posts their stories with their paintings, highlighting the horrible life they have to lead. don’t know the whole story, but some foreign newspaper did a whole story on it. a very wonderful place to visit, aesthetically.

shabo have you read the book? the book isn't about the founder of cuckoo's den. it's written by a woman who's researched the heera mandi and it's going ons.
