The German museum "Deutsches Museum" is quite interesting but you'll need more than one day for it, it's a technical museum and is supposedly quite interesting. The Olympia Stadium. Some castles are there also, which might give your journey a romantic touch. There's also some memorials left from the time when Germany was ruled under Hitler.

I didn't find there were many places to see in munich. The ones that im aware of olympia park, there is some really nice shopping malls, marine platz is really good for shopping. There is a bmw showroom

mmmm In Munich it would be then English Garden, Olympic Park, Alliance Stadium (if you like to see some nice modern structure, but its out side the city area) and Marienplatz.
