Hi

I will be going to dubai soon, what are some places to see there? Also, other than meena bazaar what are some places to get unstitched paki clothes?

clothes u cn get from sharjah behind rolla cinema they are nice as good as meena but cheaper!

go for dancing fountain in dubai mall
skiing in MOE (mall of emirates)
go for dinner at bab al shams
aquarium at atlantis
take a tour of dubai from the tour double decker bus
visit JBR (jumeirah beach residence) for dinner/lunch experience with the beach
marina walk is a nice place for the kids to njoy the playing fountain (take extra clothes for ur kids)
visit global village, part of the festival celebrations and ur on time to catch it dunt miss it as ull get unstiched clothes there too
mamzar,jumeirah beaches are worth visiting and spending a relaxed day!
in case u have days visit al ain, jabel hafeet (ull love it as the weather too is amazing these days)

if i have missed anything others here will definately fill u in..if u dont have a relative here n need to travel around i suggest taxi/bus service (its excellent)/metro (goes to selective places)

check from the reception of ur hotel or a relative where u can buy a ‘NOL’ card from which supports all public transport except taxi and isnt expensive either.

Aisha when are you coming to dubai??? There is this fair in Global Village now days. We have a guppy meet on this weekend, may be u can join in too… :slight_smile:

btw this fair/festival will be on till 27 feb. you will enjoy, dont miss it. You will find best paki clothes and shoes etc.

The meet sounds fun but I will be going to dubai on the 1st of Jan. How far is bur dubai from the global village? Our hotel is in bur dubai.

u can take a bus as i told u..here bus service rocks!

it is pretty far though but with a bus itll cost u 2-4dhs per person

I tend to disagree. Bus service in Dubai still has a long way to go, until it deserves that statement.
