i gt scaned n remrks by the doc : placenta is down… wot does it mean; anyone aware?? how it harms pregnancy?

**Its called Placenta praevia .

Depends how far along you are in your pregnancy !

It is common to have a low -lying placenta in early pregnancy , it usually "migrates" up to its normal position as the pregnancy advances.

In summary , watch out for any bleeding PV and report to your obstetrician in case of spotting . There isn't much you can do about it except wait and watch . Repeat the ultrasound later on around 34 weeks gestation or so and if it is still low-lying and especially if it is covering the cervical os( mouth of the womb) then you will be advised to go for an Elective C-section.**

as far as i remember the doc told me to bedrest when my placenta was low lying but tat was in the first trimester with time it usually comes up just b careful in the meantime try not to bend down too much or pressure ur body in a way tat it is pushed down further otherwise there is a risk of bleeding

thanx sheyn n hinaz21, ya its the same prob.. n doc recommended me to take rest n m not allowd to go upstairz even :( thu my room z upstairz... anyways m at my mumz place n resting rather enjoying all the time ....
