so like lets say ure staying someplace and theres not a single “clean” place in the house, i.e., theres several dogs runnhing around all the time and one of them is not really uhmm “trained” yet
…so what do ya do?
Re: place to pray
you don't have a clean chadar/rug? if not then you can do that sitting on a chair.
Re: place to pray
nope, sofas, chairs, beds, everythings been christened by the dogs ![]()
Re: place to pray
not even a rug/chadar or laundered bedsheet? ![]()
Re: place to pray
When I'm at college, there is no designated place to pray so we just pray on the non carpeted floor, you just have to make it with what your due.
Re: place to pray
if there is no visible impurity on the place and it has been washed, the place is good for pure....
and i think everyone has a musalla (prayer mat), so u can put that anywhere and pray....
its not such a big issue....
Re: place to pray
How about to pray outside of the home? if there is no purity (Pakizgi) inside then one can pray outside the house (i.e.) Porch or in Yard
Re: place to pray
Tsk Tsk, I wonder what would have happened if some non muslim had wrote our wuzuus instead of christened. I am not sure about you guys but I guess I would be little bit offended.
Re: place to pray

mughal has summed it up - nicely :k:
Re: place to pray
**Before You Start Salah
***The Place of Prayer *
The worshiper must have a clean place to perform the Prayer where there are no impurities on the ground. Also there should be no statues or pictures in front of him. It is not necessary to have a prayer rug or special cloth, but many find this convenient, especially in public places or at work.
*What to Wear While Praying *
A man must be covered from the navel to the knees when performing ritual Prayer*. *It is highly recommended that he also cover his chest and shoulders. A woman must be covered from head to foot with opaque clothing, with only her hands and face showing. It is best if she covers her feet while praying.
It is not necessary to have special clothes to pray in. However, most women find it convenient to have a one- or two-piece loose garment that they can put on over their other clothes when they pray at home.
**Note: **
The second pillar of Islam is ‘Salaah’. People usually translate the Arabic word ‘Salaah’ as ‘Prayer’. Prayer does not denote the complete meaning of the Arabic word ‘Salaah’. To pray means to beseech or to ask for help. In Salaah we Muslims do not merely ask for help from Almighty Allah but we also praise Him and receive guidance from Him. I personally prefer describing it as programming towards righteousness. If you ask me to explain I would say ‘Salaah’ is a sort of programming, a sort of conditioning. But if someone asks where are you going and if I say I’m going for programming, it will sound odd. Therefore I have got no objection if someone uses the word ’Prayer’ in English for the Arabic word Salaah. However, the English word ‘prayer’ does not denote the complete meaning of Salaah in its full and true sense.
