PIZZA

Pizza ki tomato sauce kaise ready hoti hai. plzzzzzzz tell me. i wanna correct it. caz i think somewr i am wrong/ did u blend it to make smooth paste or no?

Re: PIZZA

Zaiena ... cube 7-8 tomatoes and put them in a blender ... turn then into a fine paste ..

Then in a frying pan , add some garlic and oil .. when garlic sizzles , add in the herbs of your choice , and immediately add the tomato paste .... add tiny bit of salt and black pepper to it as well .. medium flame , cover the pan and let it cook ... stir every few minutes .. after about 20 minutes you will notice that the water dries out and you are left with a thick paste ... if you want more herb taste , then add a bit more mixed herbs and you are done ...

Good luck

Re: PIZZA

i guess making your own like CB suggested would taste the best, but we make it easy way :p

Just some tomato pure mixed with water until it looks like a sause. Add mixed Pizza herbs (oregano, thyme etc) yumm

Re: PIZZA

i think discard the tomato seeds that gives a lil bitter taste :)

Re: PIZZA

Yes , I was wondering ,why someone did not specifically said that. The seeds of tomato if grounded will ruin the taste of sauce.

Re: PIZZA

thanx a lot u all guys. really good information tahnx

Re: PIZZA

for topping, i use onion and chicken and mozrilla cheese and chedder cheese.

Re: PIZZA

try Feta cheese as well :)

Re: PIZZA

actually that won't be a tasty sauce.

I would suggest little cooking of the sauce with few aromatics (herbs) and seasoning.

I would say in a few tbsps of hot oil, add minced garlic, little ginger, salt, pepper, little red pepper, lemon juice, little cumin, either fresh herbs like parsley, oregano, basil, rosemary, cilantro, or dried Italian seasoning. Simmer the sauce for few mins and you will get a delish red sauce to spread on your pizza.

Re: PIZZA

You have tons of options for toppings:

Grilled eggplant, grilled zucchini, grilled or fresh mushrooms, diced or fresh tomato, sundried tomatoes, green peppers (capsicum)...

I like shrimp, seasoned ground beef, halal pepperoni on my pizza as well.

The sky is the limit when it comes to toppings :)

Re: PIZZA

lusi, 2 questions?
do you remove the skin of the tomato?
do you remove the seeds of the tomato?

sorry it may sound stupid but wat do you mean by fresh herbs? isnt herbs are dried?

Re: PIZZA

CB which herbs do you use and you remove the skin and seeds of the tomato?

Re: PIZZA

Hi Princess , occasionally when i use fresh tomatoes , I dont remove the skin , but i remove the seeds .... but normally i use canned tomatoes .. they give a better taste in the food ...

Re: PIZZA

For sauces, I prefer using canned tomato (the tomato puree) is my favorite. Whenever I have used fresh tomatoes, I have used them with skin and seeds. Anyways, you can always remove them if you want.

Herbs come both fresh and dried. You can chose which ones you want...dried onces will do perfectly fine, just remember they are stronger compared to the fresh ones so don't add too much in sauce.
