Re: Pirated copies won't work on Windows Vista
I'm thinking the detection would only work if one tries to update Windows Vista, unless it somehow automatically checks for it everytime someone connects to the Internet.
Does anyone know how exactly it would work?
First thought that came to mind was if it really works, it would probably mean a lot of lost illegal business both amongst the users in general, and especially in countries like Pakistan where people are charged to have an illegal copy installed on their machine. I wonder if it would require the users to purchase original copies as opposed to the pirated ones.
No matter How good vista sounds by reading and testing beta, it will be my 2nd OS in booting sequence, there are not many apps available, vista will have its on issues first and foremost the AV and firewall (3rd party vendors;Symantec and Mcafee...etc) the hardware ppl will have to provide error free driver updates, I say you can breath easy till 2007, and I am sure once this vista is out, there will be some help around updates (if you knwo what I mean;) ) will be available. Personally I am not interested in updating OS by fending out 200+ bucks from my own pocket at all
