Ira ....sorry but I was wrong. see I'm getting old ...couldn't remember right. but you can try the recipe from our college, if u like....
Add 1 cup coconut to 4 cups of milk...blend well n cool. now strain it n add 1 cup of cream, 2 Tbsp. of lemon juice, few drops of vanilla, a tin of pineapple and sugar syrup (1/2 cup water:1/2 cup sugar) Mix n blend well....decorate with fruit n serve.
I really can't remember what taste was it....but you can try it.

Btw i think i have found the taste i was looking for. Thanks to all of you, here is how i made the pina colada i wanted.
1 can coconut cream (this was very sweet, thick, like condensed milk)
1 can pineapple slices
ice
a few drops of vanilla (because i like it and i think OJ has it in its drinks)
milk
Blend everything together. The mix of coconut cream and pineapple will be very sweet so keep adding milk until you get the desired sweetness/thickness. I LOVE it and so does hubs.

Waleeja all hte recipes that i have seen and those listed here use Coconut cream not milk. The one i tried with the milk was too blah for my taste.

I see.. hmm so can you get hold of coconut cream in pk easily? can anyone help me in locating some good stores in khi? I've been wondering for some other baking ingredients too but still havent find any!! yuk

I've used instant coconut cream (came in a pack)...mixed water in it and it formed a cream. Worked well.
