Kim Barker, an American reporter who covered Afghanistan and Pakistan for Chicago Tribune starting in 2003, **claims that she was propositioned by Pakistan Muslim League leader Nawaz Sharif when she met him for interviews for her newspaper.

In an interview with KERA radio, Barker said she followed her bosses advice to try and blend with the local population. However, being a young white female journalist with blue eyes who stands at 5 ft 10 in tall, she says she received unusual attention from the men she met to do her job in Afghanistan and Pakistan. In her recently released book “The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan”, Barker recounts how Nawaz Sharif gave her an Apple iphone as a gift and asked her to be his “special friend”. When she declined Nawaz Sharif’s sexual advance, Foreign Policy Magazine reports that he offered to set her up with President Asif Ali Zardari.
This latest report adds Sharif’s name to the “illustrious” list of senior Pakistani political leaders who have made news for their dalliances with women.
A 2007 Youtube video showing Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani groping Sherry Rehman attracted a lot of attention. Then, President Asif Ali Zardari was shown gushing about US Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, and asking to “hug” her during a meeting in New York.

KERA is a very well reputed radio station in the US -- if they are saying this, might as well have something going on. I would NOT be surprised because this is the way the sick old men in Pakistan (and generally everywhere, I guess!) behave. Staring, ogling and doing everything but groping the women they like (well, Gilani actually groped so...).
OUT with ganjaa brothers please. Get this country free of this political garbage!
I am not a Nawaz devotee but reading here seems like here book did not fare well…Also remember that MR. LOKMAN…as he writes his name and not Luqman as it should be written, is quite the spice monger himself…not much different than Fox news in the US/UK..
Ganjaa brothers...damn, the more I think about them, the more mad I get...I heard about the Tahira Syed relationship as well, and the whole deal about a sculpture of her hands (apparently one of the brothers has a hand fetish) on some Lahore intersection.
They are the hugest hypocrites -- when Nawaz ganjaa came to power in 1997, with his "massive mandate" it was Zia 2.0.
Just to brush up your memory -- Junoon was banned, infact ALL pop acts were banned from the 2 channels that were broadcasted back then. You couldn't have a guy and a girl in ONE frame on television, not even if they were anchoring. Dupattas were mandatory. It was crazy -- Ganjaa did this in early 1990s too when the famous television actress Sahira Kazmi refused a play coz she had to wear a dupatta on her head, even in bed!
And does anyone forget Nawaz's statement damning the "jeans and jacket" culture (never figured what that was, but oh well....). The guy is a NUT.
As usual third class madir pidar azad reporting. I am not fan of NS but suddenly media has turned guns against him why? Is there any particular reason for that? As regard that bich, she belonged to liberal women of west. Their aim is to unless they sleep with 1000 men, they can not be called modern liberal women who dominate men in every field including sex.
