Pilots of Flight 370

I am pretty miffed at how their dignity was handled by the media.

On the onset, when there were not even threats by terrorist groups and no terror group assumed responsibility for the disappearance of the flight, no ransom calls, nothing…these guys were already being assumed to be terrorists.

On top of it, what scares me as a muslim somewhere out there in the real world is, how their private lives down to their FACEBOOK PAGES were smeared on television, with the world analyzing whether their FB posts had any hints of terrorist capabilities. One pilot’s sincere nerd-ism and dedication to his career and craft were twisted to making it seem like he may be plotting from home.

Now that it’s obvious, like it was from the onset, the plane experienced an accident and went down, there is ZERO apology from the media about these pilots, and I don’t see anyone really celebrating them as hero’s trying to get the plane to safety and just not making it to an airport in time.

I mean, really, makes me want to shut down my facebook. Does the media have the right to take your FB page and smear it all over TV’s??? I mean, when there are criminal cases being discussed in the news, do FB pages get placed on TV?

So, since it looks like the plane went down in accident, I salute those pilots for trying their best to get the plane to safety. I hope this is a lesson to the world that not every muslim or man of muslim descent is a terrorist.

Love Fux News <3

Re: Pilots of Flight 370

that is the same thing i wondered. if i ever die suddenly, will ppl actually steal my pics frm fb and upload them online ?!?! my fb is private but still.. i dont want friends providing these pics.

and yes i feel bad for the pilots.

Re: Pilots of Flight 370

If I am already dead, I dont care who uploads what or says what about me. But i don’t want that to affect my family’s reputation though..

Re: Pilots of Flight 370

I agree PCG.

It’s one thing that we all know and must accept that nothing online is private anymore. Once it’s up and published somewhere, it’s not ours anymore. However, suggestions of the pilots being involved in terrorist activity was a bit much and until there was proof, their privacy should have been honored.

Re: Pilots of Flight 370

I totally agree. There are a lot of double standards being employed by western media when it comes to Muslims. Any hint of a “Muslim Terrorist” type story and they’re all over it, even before the facts have been established. I’ve read stories about Muslims being arrested on suspicion of terrorist activity just because they’ve gone to Turkey (the suspicion being they’re trying to get into Syria to fight with the rebels there). Straight away the story’s in the paper and it’s turned into a big deal. Then when it turns out the guy had just gone to Turkey for a holiday, we don’t hear anything, no apology, no nothing. That just leaves the readers of the original story thinking it must have been true.

Stories of non-Muslims making bombs at home or plotting to blow up mosques barely get a mention.

As for Fox News… what a joke! I believe when Malaysian Flight MH370 first went missing, they were reporting that Pakistan was somehow involved!!
