I dont know whats wrong with my pillows , when they are new , they are so firm .. and then within weeks they die … like they just become flat
I fluff them up every morning when i make my bed .. but still it aint helping … also I wonder if people just go out and buy any pillow , or do they actually put alot of thought into what type they want , before they buy one
enlighten me please … do most people like firm pillows or soft ,flat ones?
and how do you care for your pillows to give them a long life?
I like firm flat pillows...and mine has this density foam in it and so it helps support my back ...and its lasted me for like 7 years lol!
I dont really know if your suppose to change your pillow often...pillow case yes...but pillows i guess if its still supporting you then keep it. Maybe just invest in a really good quality one and then you won't have to keep changing them.
OMG, my husband has the same complaint. I like soft fluffy flat pillows, he prefers firm but not flat.... I have bought at least 6 pillows for him within one year, they keep going flat. Anyone knows where can i get a nice firm pillow that doesn't go flat in one month?
I actually like to sleep without a pillow or a pillow which is very very thing. I dk why but that's how it's been for a while. I just can't sleep on a pillow which is too "fat/thick".
I cannot sleep on flat pillows!! My pillow has to be firm and soft at the same time :)
i have had my pillows for 3 yrs and they are still going strong! I bought them from an asian man's shop who sold pakistani duvets and kambals along with these pillows.
Lifey pillows are making my life a misery  .. you know i keep one pillow on the side to chipko with it at night …
Guys do you wash the pillows occasionally ? I mean yes we all change the pillow case every few days , but the pillow it self , do you wash it say once in 3 years or would you just throw it away when it gets foul … I know back home in Dubai , mom used to hang them in the sun for a while every other day .. but cant do that here in liverpool , since its raining 365 days of the year …
I once tried to wash a pillow in the washing machine.
A friend said yes we can do it and so did the silly tag on the pillow.
I put one pillow into the washer with the hope that it will come out of the dryer all clean and flufffffyyyy…
I was so wrong.
half way through the wash cycle the washer started to make weird loud noises.Apparently the pillow had soaked in water ,become too heavy and tipped the balance of the washer or sth like that…
I thought I will take it out and put in the common laundry in the basement which had a larger commercial type washer/dryer unit.Pulling it out if the washer was like getting and elephant out of there.
Once I dragged the 10 ton pillow to the basement it had to go through numerous dryer cycles to dry out…it never happened…
RESULT…pillow went to the garbage dumpster…!!!
Never again I thought of washing pillows…!!
Although I wonder why they say on the tags that they can be machine washed …
among somethings that I have read that stayed with me are, buy good comfortable shoes and buy a good comfortable bed.
so get good pillows no matter what you preference is, down, down alternative, poly fill, memory foam, latex whatever.
.
get good pillow covers..not pillow cases, but covers, anti mite covers..wash pillow covers on the same schedule as your bedsheets, (you do have a schedule dont you) and the pillow covers regularly as well, this way your pillows will last.
and replace pillows often, some people say every quarter, some say atleast every six months, but a year max and this is with using pillow covers and cases which you wash regularly and dont have pets and dont spill stuff or get them damp etc.
pillows can become very gross very quickly..one of the grossest thing is going somewhere and getting a smelly pillow, but even if it does not smell you dont know how what all is in it,..
okay…do not go any farther if you have not changed your pillow in sometime…if you have then please read on..
X2 … … you just made me throw away three of my favourite pillows … that ten percent of the weight of two year old pillow composed of dead mites …freakkkkkky
