^ I agree with this My mom had this sort of mentality with us … she never made it into a big deal. And kept us well aware of the rights and wrongs in Islam. Thinking back, I naturally was not a fan of any pig character growing … and even tho I was obsessed with stuffed animals… I had no desire to get a pig stuffed animal. My “piggy” bang was actually a “kitty” bank. And I luved it.
Mabey another reason I didn’t like pigs (aside from islamic reasons) was because I hated ms. Piggy on muppet babies… Kermit was my hero and I always thought she was so annoying running around him … baychaara. I actually told my mom this when I was 4 yrs old… that I felt bad for Kermy because Ms. Piggy was so mean and annoying to him.
Yes, I would.. and they’ll also get a piggy bank to learn how to save.. I don’t believe they’ll turn out so stupid that playing with a cuddly toy pig or watching a pig on tv is going to make them want to eat one.. The way some ppl go on about pigs is like they’re something evil when really they’re just one of Allah’s creations which for certain reasons we just can’t eat.. I have the cutest battery-controlled one that walks around and does little back flips
