Anyone here have any piercings other than the standard ear/nose piercings? Would you ever consider getting your nipples/belly button/eye brow/tongue/clitoris/penis pierced?
If no, I understand? If yes, why? What do people find so attractive about these bizarre piercings? Some people have so many piercings, they’re practically perforated. Don’t these piercings cause metal detectors to go off at the airport. How embarassing would it be if your pierced genitals kept making the metal detector go off?

Well, it actually happened one time when I was flying off from Denver Airport last year. A guy and a girl were in front of me in the security line. Both were the kind you mention as totally "perforated". Lo and behold the alarm beeped. The security guy, knowing fully well, what he is dealing with there, offered them to go into a separate room for a more thorough search, but na ji... the guy and the gal stood there with their arms outstretched for the metal detector wading all over their clothes... and when it came to his pubic area, the guy casually dropped his jeans a few notches to show the guard the piercing which had set off the detector. The gal did the same for her chest area. I can bet the guards were more embarassed about the whole episode than those two folks standing there half naked. EveryI guess those two had got those piercing in those areas, (atleast) partially because they like to show-off to other people all their assets (and piercings).
I think a belly button ring on the right body and right stomach for girls can look sexy However, that is about the only piercings besides the ears that I don’t mind.
I went with a friend of mine who needed moral support when she went to get her belly-button pierced. It looked really good on her too .... she's an older lady, in her early 40s but doesn't look a day over 30. Anyway, she and her husband have a hot tub in their backyard with a pool. About 3 weeks after she had the ring put in, she went into the hot tub and the pressure of the water caused the ring to loosen. Then, while she was vaccuming her house a few days later, it ended up literally dropping off. Prior to that, she kept complaining how it kept getting caught on her sweaters, rubbing against buttons in her shirts, etc. In fact, about 2 weeks after it was put in, it became infected cause it kept rubbing against her clothes and she had to apply sea-water salt to the area.
I guess the point of my little story is that although it may look good, it can take some extra care to look after it. Then again, I know another girl at work who has one and has never had any problems.
However, that is about the only piercings besides the ears that I don’t mind.
