Religion aside…thinking aesthetically what do men and women think of piercings?..

I think piercings are ridiculous. Other than the standard one hole in each ear for women (I don't even like double holes or nose piercings), when people pierce odd parts of their body, it's a sad cry for attention. Men with piercings make me want to vomit.

I don't like piercings on men. Standard ear piercings on girls is nice. Nose piercing depends on the person, some look nice with it, others don't.

I dunno...I've never been one for self-mutilation but I do have pierced ears (though admittedly they were pierced when I was very young)
I actually quite like quirky guys and I think some guys can carry off piercings.
I think pretty boys may get the odd 'gay' comment if they wear earrings etc. but I have seen guys whose persona is just right for their piercings.
For example I've seen guys with a little spike pierced just below the bottom lip - and to be honest I thought it suited them. :)
As for girls, I agree that the double piercing thing on ears has a tendency to look tacky...the one that gets me giggling is the double pierced nose you see on some aunties - but hey whatever rocks your boat! :)

dont like nose piercings EXCEPT on very FEW ladies that can pull it off well
also do not like double ear piercings. belly piercings can be cute if your belly is cute. belly rings look yuck. men with one ear pierced can look good. men with both ears pierced look weird. eyebrow piercings may or may not look good depending on the overall look.
piercings anywhere else are just freaky.

Belly rings only stay cute till you become pregnant. Double ear piercings make most girls look like they came from the trailer park, and most girls don't have a nose that looks nice pierced. I did see the "bull ring" style piercing in an aunty once, and could barely talk to her with a straight face. What are people thinking?

depends on the gender and what kind.
for example...eye brow piercings...hot on women and men. it think they are just gorgeous.
what is ridiculous if a guy has a "diamond" earing bigger than most women's engagement ring. that's just ridiculous. and the whole cartilage piercing for guys...only a few can pull it off. men should never get their nose pierced.
women on the other hand...again, depends. i find multiple earpiercings (like 3 in a row) just weird. but again, cartilage piercing's hot. nose piercings...never would do it because i know i'll look like a jamadarni, but some manage to pull it off (eg kelly clarkson). other kind of piercings...like bottom lip, or belly or tongue...again...i like it. but not a lot of others do.

I like my nosering.. i think i look cute with it, i dun care wat anyone says 
First time I got it done (in jackson heights) it got infected, even tho i followed their directions..but when I got to pak and got it re-pierced in March, we didnt follow his directions ad it hurt for 2 days but since then i’ve not ahd any problems whasoever..

I think belly piercings only look good if ure hte type to show ur tummy...other than that, whats the point of having it if ure gonna keep it covered permanentLY??? Its just pain and stuff for nothing i think..

i think belly piercings (on a girl lol) are cute if your stomach is flat and toned. also...brow piercings are cool (on both men and women)....but u def have to have a certain look to pull that off.
oh and sara.....nothing wrong with a covered up girl having her belly pierced if it's for the pleasure of her husband......wouldnt u agree?
