i know it’s pretty common for parents to pierce their daughters’ ears when they are pretty young. this goes for both desi and non-desi. In recent years i’ve been seeing young boys with em too, but those were always non-desi but i’m sure we’re catching up to them..
what do you guys think abt piercings? is it really a big deal or what?

I've never been fond of any kind of jewelry on guys let alone earrings. With the exception of a watch or perhaps a silver ring.
^ I agree with red velvet I am like that too and I didn't get my daughter's ears pierced yet I know its too late but I am against ear piercing when child is too young.

I had both my girls done at 15 months. No infection or problems whatsoever. You do have to care for it though because my neices had theirs get infected right away which ended up in a lot of mess and the process needs to be repeated at some point.

i had my daughter done when she was 7 months. No issue at all... my neice had it done roughly the same time but hers got infected.. i didnt apply anything on hebz's ears..
I dont like them on guys... dont mind the eye-brow ring though.. (obviously when they are lot older)

for girls -not a big deal
for boys -no no noooo
