r u? does it hurt to get your nose pierced? would it be totally inappropriate for work? is the needle better than the gun? and most imp of all, somebody told me it suits all faces, how true is that?

It didnt’ really hurt but it sure as heck felt a tad uncomfy.. a tear ran down my eye, and it burns like hell when I clean it wit alk.. but right now it’s fine.. uhmm as for wrk i dunno.. a simple diamond wud be nice and elegant i think.. Go to krishna’s jewelers in Jackson hts, that’s where i got mines done.. it’s right next to Sona Chandi, on the street across where that bombay salon and patel bros store is… They had a sale on diamond nosepins, for 79 and 99.. go for it :k:

u get ONE tear drop...literally. n its a pinch. nothing more. personally i think the needle is better. i got it done with the needle. my sister got it done using the gun. the gun was pretty scary! yea it does suit pretty much everybody. but looks really good on some :)

I got it done with the gun too, it was like $15.. it doesnt hurt anymore.. fo rthe first day I was careful not to yawn too much, and i went to sleep afraid my nose wud be swollen, but it was fine... right now, after 7 days, it's a teeny tiny bit swollen around the piercing but no pain and no other infections or anything.. try it i think it wud look nice on U!

^LOL. r u serious. my sis got it done with the gun n her's got swollen too. but mine didnt. i used to clean it with peroxide. n i changed it after a month or two.

I got my nose pierced in 1991 when I was in highschool. It didn't hurt too much initially but the swelling was uncomfortable. I cleaned it regularly to prevent infection. I'm glad I had it when I got married but since the Shaadi I really haven't worn anything. My mil got gold nose studs from Pakistan but the stem is so thick I can't get them in unless I literally break the skin. I think a simple nose stud looks nice and is appropriate for work.

Thanks guys! that was so helpful! im probably, PROBABLY going to get my nose pierced because i think it looks hot, but i dont know how work will feel abt it. If i do i think ill go with the needle as per “Chupke se’s” recommendation.
just one last question. if on some days you dont want to wear the nose ring/stud, does it look awful or is the hole very obvious?

mmm.. ^^ i think a concealer should cover it if it does show a lil.. does on mine.. but go for it.. it’ll look really nice on u n then post a picture or i wont be givin out any secrets

Had it done with a gun. Felt like i could see stars spinning around my head for a moment. Slight swelling stayed for aboout a week, nothing major. I wear the tiniest little nosepin which u normally get from kiosks in practically every mall, $8-$9 a pair 
I heard u get a whole box of 40 just for $10.00 at broadway. I want thatttttttt

I got mine done cuz of my hubby dearest and it was kinda thing that hurt me for a long time. The guy simply pushed the ring in my nose and rolled it up with a plier. I couldn't even scream, cuz it was one fourth of a second he did that, but now I can wear anything. But go for it I am sure its gonna look amazing on you, look at what u r gaining not at the pain which is very lil ;)

My mom did mine with a needle...and it hurt like crazy for a while...i got it done 3 or 4 years ago...I didn't get any infection or swelling..but it did hurt for a couple of weeks..and thats it...
so Lay_D_Honey and Shweetdreamz, you guys should go for it...
I work in a office, and yes, in my opinion, it is inappropriate for office environment..so i just use a tiny stick (i use tip of the toothpick), it doesn't show though. I don't know about the concealor cuz i dont use make up.
but, i think you guys should go for it, and best of luck :)

but make sure u use studs from hre…they have a skinnier stem. if u get them from pakistan. its gonna hurt like hell putting it in. i got my sister to put mine in ..coz the ones from paki r sooo prettyyy :love:
