hey guys i’ve got a pierced nose but don’t like it anymore, by takin the stud off there will b a prominent hole on my nose. so,help me out wht can i do?
i know make-up can cover it up for sometime, but need to know sumthin for daily.i just don’t like it the way the hole is visible after takin the nose pin out. Anything i can do?
Re: pierced nose.
Hey! it depends on how long uve had the piercing - I took mine out after my valima and it closed within a week. I want to get it re-done though but thats another story. You will have a little scar on ur nose from the piercing but covering it up with makeup is fine.. waise bhi its soo small that it usually goes unnoticed.
hope that helps!!
Re: pierced nose.
ooooh I have one too, and I notice people usually get it so they can wear a naath on the BIG day, its just I dont like naaths, I like my small sexy studs, haha
as for the mark...
My friend took hers out as well cuz it got infected and there was a mark BUT the thing is scars are on the skin layer and the skin creates a new layer every 28-32 days....so suggest just using your average face scrubber and doing that 3 times a week, so every time you remove a dead skin layer, the mark will slooowly go away
and trust me it does, but until then, just use concealer or face powder
or you can ask Gina, lol
Re: pierced nose.
Take it out. You wont get a scar. My friend had it taken out and re-done three times already and no scars. I got it done on the left side, didn't like it, took it out after 2 weeks, got it done on the right side, no scars.
Re: pierced nose.
^^isn't it SUPPOSED to be on the left side?
the right side looks nice in the mirror but in ACTUAL, left looks "normal", dont get me wrong, I'm not saying it looks abnormal, lol, but on the left it looks like its barely there
shrug
I don't think u can do anything about the hole, only the scar.
I got mine a few years back also on the right side, i like it better there coz it's different :p I wear very small n flat studs. Sometimes i don't wear a stud for weeks/months n it's not noticable coz the hole is ver very small! So dont worry silly:D
Re: pierced nose.
i took my nose pin out tooo and there is mark and now i thought ( coz i dont likt this mark) tht i should pierc it again:S to cover this mark:D
Re: pierced nose.

How can something look more noticeable on one side of your face and not the other? I don't see people walking around with their hands over the left side of their faces only exposing the right sides. Do you?
Its not like your hands where whichever hand you write with is the dominant one -- So if you wanted to show off a nice ring or bracelet, you'd wear it on that hand/wrist.
On a side note, I got mine done here in the US so I wasn't 'informed' apparently. But when you go to get your nose pierced in Pakistan, they apparently don't even ask you which side as its supposed to be on the left side. Reason? Only prostitutes wear studs on the right side. Apparently its a symbol of their profession so they don't have to scream it from roof tops. So if you walked into a not-so-posh part of Pakistan, wearing a stud on the right side, don't be surprised if you'd be asked your current 'rates'.
I don't even want to get into how ridiculous this notion is. Completely ignorant. However, it exists widely in Pakistan and since I will be going to Pakistan to get married, I made the switch.
Also, when you go to jewelers to buy ready-made bridal 'naths', they are crafted so the gold wire fits on the left side of your face. If you wanted a right-hand side nath, you'd have to order it.
Re: pierced nose.
thanks guys........
i think the scar can b finished. but there is nothin we can do abt the hole, lil bumpy thing on the nose, rite?
Re: pierced nose.
The hole should close up too. Just rub some vitamin E oil on your nose once a day for the scar.
Trust me, it looks bad when you first take out the stud, it only gets better.
hahaha smart sana!
haha i know:P but really it looook sooooo bad:S

Thanks for the info, but i think it's asian history:P I have never heard of it by the way, not even from my cousins in pak. Thats weird, if it's that common??
Anyway why did you change urs, if you find it ridiculous?

It's pretty common. I think I first heard it when I was rather young. Some aunties at a wedding were looking for rishtas. I was 12 I believe. They were sitting in the row behind me and picking out random girls and then proceeded to reject one because of her piercing..! Anyway, I ended up asking my friends and they said it was true. Turns out, even today, people believe the same thing.
Yes, it is ridiculous. Reason I got it changed was because I will be going to Pakistan to get all the wedding shopping only a few weeks ahead of time. So I will be buying a ready-made nath. I won't have time to get one made and so I had to change it.
PS: I have no problems standing up against what I believe is wrong.
fair enough!![]()
Re: pierced nose.
It really does depend on how long you have had it pierced. I got mine done in 99.... and took it out in 2006, and i still have a little bit of a scar.. but its not too noticable.
Re: pierced nose.
hey everyone,
instead of creating another link i wanted to ask a question too. I got my nose pierced around 4 months ago and i did the mistake of taking out the stud after 10 days and really regret it now as since then ive grown a small lump where the hole is. Its never went since then and goes small and large. I have tried everything from tcp 3 times a day, cleaning with water, cleaning with oil, creams and what not. even tried changing to another gold stud but no cure.
Any advice on what to do or what to use. I need a quick and fast solution as my wedding is only weeks away and i am really frustrated
Thanks!
