MUMBAI, India - From Hollywood to Bollywood? Former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan says his forthcoming movie will be partially filmed in India. Brosnan, 51, said Monday that the project would be shot there as well as in Los Angeles and London. He did not give details.
“The cross-pollination between Hollywood and Bollywood is getting closer,” Brosnan told reporters, using the term for India’s movie hub. It’s Brosnan’s third visit to India.
Movies such as “Monsoon Wedding” and “Bend It Like Beckham” have been appreciated by mainstream audiences in the United States. Last month, Michael Douglas visited Mumbai and said he would co-produce and star in “Racing the Monsoon,” an action flick about a diamond heist aboard an Indian train.
Brosnan played Bond in four 007 films between 1995 and 2000; he said last year he would not do another
Okay, this may be the next bond movie cause the omega signs at the back mean its 007 as its his choice of ghariii. Why wont he do another, who else can be the next bond?
Hmm so its sonali instead of ashwariaya... acha, lets see. She is very attractive but lets see how well she can act as miss bombshell

MUMBAI: Pierce Brosnan likes it hot. The Irish-born Hollywood star asked for the air conditioner to be switched off three times at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Apollo Bunder. ‘‘Nobody told me Mumbai can get so cold. If they don’t switch off the AC, I might go to the mains and shut it myself,’’ he says.
The James Bond star spent the weekend in Mumbai as the brand ambassador of Omega watches. The 52-year-old actor plans to open an Indian restaurant with an American friend in Malibu. ‘‘We’re looking for an Indian chef,’’ he says.
Also in the pipeline is a film that’s set in India and produced by his company, Irish Dream Time. ‘‘I have a story outline and I think it’s doable. It’s a thriller with three acts based in Los Angeles, London and India.’’ The film’s theme, incidentally, is centered on Bollywood. ‘‘Something goes wrong in a Bollywood show and the thriller starts.’’
You have Chinese movies raking in millions and millions year after year, Japenese anime making inroads in movies like Matrix and some popular American animated series such as Samurai Jack. Even Thailand is on the scene with Ong-bak.
India is to simply put, nowhere. No Bollywood thumkaa-lacious flick has grossed over 5 million yet. Most folks here can't even relate to it.
To put simply, people don't care and neither do I!
I can only admire the verve of these poeple who put every stupid Bollywood crap on this board
