I know this should be in image gallery but still wanted to share these here; some incredible pictures, which highlight the extent of the magnitude of destruction that words cannot illustrate. These were actually taken before the flood became an even more threatening catastrophe.
Very well captured images. From the pictures we see the people affected trying their best to escape the floods with no or very little help from the government.
What's really disturbing is how widespread the damage is, in terms of geography... I mean some of these pictures are from close to Quetta, and then you have Swat, Multan and Nowshehra! I mean its not like these areas are close together, they're quite far apart! We're hit pretty bad!!
I just read a news article on Google News telling that every single bridge in Swat is destroyed by the flood. Swat and many other areas of even Baluchistan do not have any direct access and are completely cut off from the rest of the country. Article is talking about how this situation can be used by terrorists and separatist groups in their favor.
^ Did you see the video of that bridge in Kund, that the river just swept! I mean this wasn’t a small poorly designed bridge! It washed away like clay because of the might of the river and helpless WAPDA officials just captured it on video, before they decided to flee because of the rising water levels.
