I think I'm gonna ask my family in KHI for a nice roadtrip the next time I'm there. This can be a great outing for people of Karachi - it would bring some nice economic uplift to the Balochis as well. Yay, I'm excited and giddy.

reason 3 - most people here are Punjabis and that's why if you had posted a pic of murree you would have gotten 50 Subhanallah's by now. Punjabi jhatts here have no respect for the dry desert beauty of Balochistan. Most don't even know how to spell Balochistan, either.

I am really sorry to say but what a MORONIC response from PyariCgudia, just click on the link above and visit that forum (skyscrapercity, pakistan section) and you will see how many punjabis or pakistanis praise Balochi beauty, norther areas and how much they know about dvelopment in karachi and Gwadar is HOT TOPIC there most of the times.
You can also check www.urbanpakistan.com forum where there is mix of Punjabi and non-punjabis and they are doing a GREAT job promoting pakistan and it's beauty.
I have been on these forums for quite a while and never clicked on this section and i would assume lot of other people do the same.

Um, no I dont. Every major institution in Pakistan is being run by Punjabis while other provinces are being kept beneath the foot. It took this long to make Gwadar big, and its due to Musharraf, who ... guess what? Is not a punjabi.

Yaar this is what i don't understand, so many people complain that Punjabis are dominating in Pakistan, i was talking to this Indian Punjabi who told me how Punjabis in India dominate in different departments. Let it be their film industry, music industry, sports, Army etc they are dominating and no one gives the damn even though there are less than 10% Punjabis in India. In pakisan's case there are 50-60% punjabis and yet people are jealous that Punjabis dominate???? Who really gives a damn if an institution is run by a punjabi , sindhi or Mohajir as long as that person is most suitable for job?????
Do you think politicians like Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir would have still got the power if Punjabis had not voted for them because they were SINDHIS?????? You will be a fool if you think that right???? I support Musharraf and don't care if he is Muhajir and he would NOT have been in power if all the punjabis were against him right??????
Educated Pathans are working in all the major institutions in PUNJAB and no one cares if they are Pathan as long as they r doing their job.....................main thing is get educated and you will get your rights, not by making Sindhu desh parties, Balochi liberations etc etc.

But I think the reason why most people only appreciate the Northern Areas and Muree isnt because they are Punjabi, but because deserts arent always associated with Natural beauty. Most people think Mountains, streams and forests when they think of Natural beauty. I mean, where would most people think of when they think natural beauty, Sweden or Dubai?
My area of Punjab, the Salt Range is aso very arid in some place and very rugged. I think its one of the most beautiful places in Pakistan…

Benazir, Bhutto senior, Ayub Khan, Yaya Khan; werent Punjabi either, but none of them could get this project started, despite the fact that Gawadar was identified as a key strategic port as far back as the late 50’s or early 60’s… This project was really started with the backing of China.. Hs nothing to do with Punjabis, just a lack of will and drive..
