The first one is a picture of the window blinds in my family room right at sunset. Final picture was taken with a low shutter speed at some Hurricane Katrina Relief Concert I went to. Pretty stage lights :).

Waqi - I didn't Photoshop it, but to get the effect of a sharper focus on the main object, you use the metering mode, in which you set it to whichever distance (in meters) the object is. The tree came out much sharper because of this.

**O ok nice...I just use auto focus, but thats cuz I'm too lazy to maually set the focus...:D
Phatima there was a tree in the movie that stood on its own too and looked like it was on fire but really it was sUnlight reflecting off the leaves at sunset and was a part of the video tape.
