i think ur family are right. And coming from a married person- trust me the sunlight isn't such an important issue to fuss over! When u look back in years to come at your pics all u will be noticing is you two and not the sunlight and how good it was. Photographers are quite good i'm sure they will do a good job whereever they do the shoot.
my sisters had her nikkah on friday, mehndi saturday and on the wedding sunday, there was a dua done then while everybody started their meal the couple went to a room for their photoshoot. The pics were wow, something out a magazine. so don't worry too much about the surroundings.
