Re: Picture of Hazoor PBUH on wikipedia

yeah this link is workin

Re: Picture of Hazoor PBUH on wikipedia

According to wikipedia .. one of those pictures was made by Abu Rayhan al-Biruni.... We have to check , if it was really done by Al Biruni ...

Both of the pictures on that wikipedia article belong to Persian artists ..

Drawing pictures of Holy personals is very common in Persia… ya still see them drawing pictures of Imam Ali and other imams …

Re: Picture of Hazoor PBUH on wikipedia

in iran they have pictures of imams and i dont think
its right

Re: Picture of Hazoor PBUH on wikipedia

i am not even bothering to go to wikipedia link...:(

but i did sign-in the petition.

Re: Picture of Hazoor PBUH on wikipedia

"Push Muslims towards terrorism"?

I'd like to find an online petition that advocates how idiotic it is to resort to terrorism over stuf like this and and even more so to say that it pushes anyone to do anything they don't decide to do.

Re: Picture of Hazoor PBUH on wikipedia

Serves as an irritant?

I agree it doesn't justify becoming a "terrorist".

Re: Picture of Hazoor PBUH on wikipedia

Peace,
You people do need to lighten up... these "pictures" were made during the Abbasid and Ottoman eras and are part of your heritage and history. This is not the work of the "infidel".

I will do what I can help them stay on, whether members here like it or not. I am against signing the petition.

Re: Picture of Hazoor PBUH on wikipedia

Kis ki baat ker rahe hain bhai saab?
Who made the picture and when? Can you see Prophet’s features of the face in it?
You’re spreading lies to spread hatred and you don’t even realise this.

Re: Picture of Hazoor PBUH on wikipedia

any prove that these are not made now , does writing that these are made by ABC in DEF era make that true and part of heritage and history

Re: Picture of Hazoor PBUH on wikipedia

Re: Picture of Hazoor PBUH on wikipedia

No I’m sorry people of wikipedia weren’t exist few hundred years ago.

Here is the web link for topkapi museum of istanbul:

The following items represent museum’s outstanding group of Islamic miniature paintings, found in illustrated copies of classic works and as surviving fragments pasted or bound into albums in the former royal libraries. The first examples of the Ottoman miniature paintings were produced under the patronage of Fatih Sultan Mehmet (Mehmet the Conqueror ) in mid 15th century. An important feature of the Ottoman miniatures is the realistic portrayal of actual events while adhering to the traditional rules of Islamic art. Topkapi’s priceless collection encompasses not only Ottoman works but also those of many different dynasties and regions within the Islamic world, including Baghdad and Mosul in Mesopotamia (13th century); Il-Khanid Tabriz and Muzaffarid Shiraz (14th century); and Akkoyunlu Shiraz and Tabriz, Timurid Herat, and Safavid Shiraz and Tabriz (15th century). Included are scientific works such as Dioscorides’ Materia Medica; romances such as the fables of Khalila and Dimna; the Khamsa of Nizami, the Shahname of Firdawsi; and later Ottoman works such as the Süleymanname and the Selimname, in praise of the exploits of individual sultans.

you can find details (when and who made them) of all the pictures here.

Re: Picture of Hazoor PBUH on wikipedia

After reading the link , and seeing the pictures i am really very disappointed in the above quoted statement.

People need to use some common sense before following *truck ki batti *

These pictures are 100s of years old and part of miature art from persian and ottoman period.

In iran they make and sell pictures of holy figure and sell them almost every house has the (imaginary) pictures of Hazrat Ali and other Imam.

So it is quite childish to blame them for puting up these pictures. And when they dont have any malicious designs. It is just a comprehensive set of information about prophet muhammad.

If you can read then see there is lot of criticism of him and it would constitute blasphamy for muslim ( if they say so )

There is hell lot of difference in danish cartoon saga and this article. Former being the idiotic sacreligious affair, and later is purely scholarly take on this subject. Muslims need to use brains once in a while, it is healthy habit :k:

Re: Picture of Hazoor PBUH on wikipedia

I dont that a picture should push muslims towrds terrorism, There is no excuse for terroris. And teh only reason they keep putting pictures up is because such an uproar is mae about it, and idiots go about burning buidlings like ots gona acheive something. If we ignore tehy’ll stop it

Re: Picture of Hazoor PBUH on wikipedia

Well said. We need to confirm things before telling it to others, Qur’an says.
