I want to setup a picture gallery on a website and have narrowed the selection down to two:
I’m leaning towards Coppermine but one thing it doesn’t have is water-marking. Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Picture Gallery software
also check out flash solutions like JAlbum or Simple Viewer
Re: Picture Gallery software
PA, I'm trying to get something that I can use on my site, not local PC.
Re: Picture Gallery software
Topi, go for coppermine. Check the gallery of pictures we took last year.
I think there is an option in there somewhere to batch add the watermark.
Re: Picture Gallery software
what do u think these are for?
Coppermine and Gallery are good for travel photos kind of pages.. If u want a photo gallery try the flash tools or get an account at Pbase of Smugmug.. Unlimited bandwidths are a MUST if you're gonna show high res photos around.. why waste your own?
Re: Picture Gallery software
5watery, that's a hack that i missed. I'll play around with and see if it works for me. Gallery also has the feature where u can upload multiple pics zipped and it unzips and stores on the server side. I have installed both of them and playing around with it. Gallery 2.1 comes with tons of modules out of the box which is very convenient.
PA, thanks for the info. But that site doesn't have free accounts. Plus, I would rather have total control of what's on my site,
Re: Picture Gallery software
I finally figured out how to mass upload and insert pics in Coppermine :)
Re: Picture Gallery software
Hey 5watery which hack are u guys using? I tried one and it didn't go too well.
Re: Picture Gallery software
Try this one. 30 days fully functional trial version available for download.
Re: Picture Gallery software
WDR, I do own a copy of Photoshop which can do all of the above.
I'm trying to setup a watermarking module to the Coppermine so anyone who uploads pics automatically get tagged by the server. The app only works on the local PC.
