Re: Picked a tan -- and want to get rid of it
Not anymore, i ran off when u saw me. Im goin to retire from stalking u now cos its midnight in good old blighty and i better get some sleep b4 i turn into a pumpkin.
Goodnite!
Honey and a few drops of vinegar (leave on for 1/2 hour) will help and so will equal quantities of tomato and cucumber juice.

wanting to get rid of a tan doesn't mean a person doesn't love the skin they're in. they WANT the skin they're in, back and they want to get rid of the skin that they have temporarily in the summer. it has nothing to do with confidence.

stalker: dont panic, it heppens always wen we dont care of our complexion n frequently go out in sun, so we usually lost out original color, heres a desi Indian Tip 4u and all who are willing to get fairer complexion, I have used this tip it really works 4 me
Ingridients:
Almond (Grinded in powder form) : 1tbsp
wheat Flour (Joa ka Aata): 1tbsp
Corn flour : 1tbsp
lemon: Half
Rose water
mix almond powder+ wheat flour + Corn flour. squeez half of the lemon in it and make a paste with the help of rose water, if rose water is not available then we can also add raw milk to make a paste.
Procedure:
apply this paste on ur face, neck and ( hands till elbow) if you want, now leave this application for 5 mins, after 5 mins spray the rose water on all the areas that are covered and slightly scrub with fingers on the perticular areas,
now again apply the same paste to ur face over the 1st application (we dont have to remove the first application, let it be as it is after scrubbing slightly)
after 5 mins repeat the same spraying and slightly scrubbing again, now we have to apply the same paste in the same way for the third time, and
leave it for 5 mins, ang finally spray with the rose water and slightly scrub wth the help of fingers, and wash out ur face.
Its a bit lengthy process, wen i did it my self so it took me 1/2 an hr, but I have a herd it from an Indian herbal specialist and she gave gurantee for a faierer complexion if we regularly use with in 1 week
My sister has tried this too as her fingers were apparantly so dark, and she has got amazing results Mashalla,
hope u guys will too have gud results Inshallah, if so, do remember me in ur prayers :)
thanks , gud luck

Does that mean that the skin u r in temporarily is NOT the skin u r in at the moment???
Whether the skin is tanned or not, u r still in it at this moment in time. I will not have anyone question the Kaalay slogan, please.
Seriously, i think it may have something to do with confidence. Your skin is your own skin, tanned, or not tanned, some people r not confident enough to carry their natural colour.
Change all that.
I went shopping with a gori friend of mine one day, she saw a sri-lankan man in a shop, and REALLY admired his "tan". He was very dark, I had to drag her admiring eyes away from him.

people are confident enough to carry their natural color, but some people just don't like 2 different colors on their arms and feet. it's not that serious.
Re: Picked a tan -- and want to get rid of it
^ I am going to b argumentative now, ok, so i understand about the 2 diff colours, like lighter skin where T-Shirt sleeve was, HOWEVER, is that the issue here, or is it about not wanting to b dark???
Re: Picked a tan -- and want to get rid of it
Its quite pointless to take this thread off on a moralistic/psychological tangent. I don't like my tan, I want to get rid of it, so if you have any issues with that, you can keep your (wrong) opinions to yourself and preach to rest of the world about the wonders of natural skin. And btw, tanned skin is NOT natural skin.
As for the rest, I much appreciate your advise. I'll try a couple of these and let you guys know.
Oh, and is rose water like a desi thing or is it available in other stores as well?
