Manomano...i know, i know...usually i wear belt wali sari but on this occasion, i had to make do with the pleats even tho you cant see them..i got the derzi to sew them...you cannot see them unfortunately but they were there...
Sweet_taboo - My fav saying is each to their own. If i had worn italian.med clothes, i would look like just the other guests - plain, simple and quite boring looking! There was no colour amongst the guests reg what they were wearing! I wanted to look original!

absolutely gorgeous, sunset. i disagree with sweet_taboo -- there's a gracefulness in saris that other desi or nondesi clothes cannot often match. lovely!

Apparently, there's no accounting for taste, as sweet taboo has so ungraciously demonstrated. Sarees are beautiful and elegant, an it is sheer bad taste to try and impose such a ridiculous BAD OPINION on someone else's choice.
Sunset... your saree is quite lovely, and it looks like you managed to wear it well too. And for future reference, safety pins are the key to keeping it in place and getting the drape right.

Yeah I guess each to their own...
I find them unattractive on women but maybe that's just me.
