I have heard PIA now offers direct non-stop flights to pakistan from NY and Chicago. Is that true? no more stopovers in UK?

all i have known is approx 13 hrz direct flight from tor-khi.
this refueling n carrying passenger makes it 2 flight. pilots changes, crew changes. well ppl travel in biz class are very well aware of dat. n its less costly compartively to the direct one.
i might b rong since i havent travelled in centuries.

ive travelled 2 times in direct flights :-p...from toronto to khi tho. takes aprox. 15 hours. so yeah...PIA direct flights DO exist. lol

You can all update your Data Bases about Non Stop Flights, the New Boeing 777-200LR can go Non Stop close to 8000+ miles with 300 some passengers, that puts Karachi within reach of New York or Tronto.
And PIA was the Lead off customer for that Model Airplane......

I haven't travelled on that route myself, but regardless of the route I'm travelling on I'd always prefer a non-stop flight over one with a stopover.

The reason is politics and security. Canada and Pakistan have airspace agreements that allow flights from Pakistan to enter Canada. USA on the other hand does not want any flights coming from Pakistan directly. Thus they have to go to the UK, and then State side.

I'm taking a non-stop flight from TO to ISL in 8 days :p and the prices arent too bad either

Yaar don't travel with PIA If you want your money's worth. Go with Etihaad, Singapore Airlines or Qatar my favourite.

not to long ago PIA flights were stopped in machester because they were "unsafe" but people still use PIA even that doesnt put them off...
