^ ya apparently PIA does not fly non-stop to khi from ny, first stop is either lahore or islamabad and final destination is karachi.
total flight time from ny to khi : 17hrs

airplane food smells and tastes like the airplane. I know it sounds weird....but I really find that it does regardless of airline you're on. Anyone else notice that?
In that case, NY - KHI on Emirates is shorter. 14.25 hours including the layover in Dubai.

No, actually its the same 1.5 - 2 hrs on the way back as well, I've been doing that ever since Emirates started non-stop NY-Dubai flights 8-9 years ago. Except for last year when I got Etihad and the stop over in Abu Dhabi was about 4 hours.

flew Emirates this year with a 12 month old and going from here the experience was quite HORRIBLE to be very frank. Their entertainment system was not working so they spent 5 hours trying to fix it. You can imagine sitting in a plane for 5 hour was just exhausting. We missed our flight from Dubai to KHI because of that and all they offered us were 2 measley passes to "breakfast buffet" which was not even worth it. It was my first time flying Emirates and I was deeply disappointed by their lack of time consciousness. Everyone on the plane was upset because pretty much all had connecting flights and ALL missed it!
On the way back it was much faster - no delays, swift and easy transit in Dubai too.
We might go the Emirates route again because their service was good and the plane did not smell like biryani and chicken korma. And the bathrooms were a little more cleaner :)

Where did you fly from? That’s rare to hear that kind of treatment on Emirates, normally people have so much good to say about it…

PIA is a good airline, its just that some time their service is not upto the mark.

I used to fly after every 6 mnths and i always prefer EMIRATES coz its comfortable and EMIRATES is a standard and as PIA is concernd, its service is too slow and not satisfactory... its just the PAKISTAN's air line nthn else...

but i hate that...17 hour long flight...doesn't matter what airline...will make u mad.
